Francesco Armato was born in Marsala, in 1962.
He graduated at the University of Florence in Architecture
(1990), where he still works as a teacher and a researcher. He is
professor of Interior Design in the course of Industrial Design,
Matter's Expert in the course of Interior Design and
Architecture, hold by professor Paolo Galli, Search's Assignor to
the department of Design and Architecture for the accademic year
2002/2003. 2003, he became a member of the integrated Commission
for the environnment protection, to the town of Campi Bisenzio,
Florence.
Often his work takes him to travel, and it's in travelling that,
sometimes, finds the inspiration for his architectonical and
design projects.
In the last years his architecture
regardes the "social world" and the effects of hyper electronics
age on space. Since 1993 he has involved in industrial design and
the conception of objects in recycled plastic. In 1994 he creates
"CHICCA", the first heterogeneous recycled plastic lamp in the
world.
His creations and concepts have taken part in numerous events and
exhibitions both national and international.
